The planet Artista lay in ruins after the invasion by the squid-like aliens, the Kraug. Fourteen-year-old Aiden and his nine-year-old sister, Brooke, having lost their mother to an alien missile, embark on a trek to find their missing sister, Petra, and their father, who is the leader of the Twelfth Squadron, Artista’s elite fighters against the Kraug. Along the way, Aiden and Brooke join a circus led by a horned magician, named Kustavo, but prefers to be called the General. Shorty, the blue-skinned strong man, Angel, the religious sharpshooter, and Jermy, the orange jumping worm, will all lend their skills to help get Aiden and Brooke to the City of Faith where rumors say the Kraug hold their father prisoner.
